Matías Malizia
Matías Malizia is a visual artist and graphic designer based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He studied at the University of Buenos Aires and completed artist residencies at FAAP University in São Paulo (2022), the Torcuato Di Tella University Artist Program (2018), and MARCO Arte Foco (2018). His work investigates the intersection of materiality, perception, and techno-natural environments through installation, sculpture, and experimental forms.
Malizia studied with renowned artists and theorists such as Ernesto Ballesteros, Eduardo Stupía, Silvia Gurfein, and Daniel Joglar. He has held solo exhibitions in Argentina and Spain, including Segunda Naturaleza (Espacio Líquido, Gijón, 2018), Desde_Hacia_Hasta (Granada Gallery, Buenos Aires, 2017), and Vómito Lunar (Bonjour Galería, Buenos Aires, 2010).
He has participated in prominent group exhibitions including Tecnopoéticas ambientales (CCEBA, Recoleta and Parque España, 2022–2023), the 7th Fundación Andreani Award (2020), the 73rd Salón Nacional de Rosario (2019), and the 107th National Visual Arts Salon (2018). He received the Macsur Visual Arts Award in both 2018 and 2019.
