Nicholas Jackson

Nicholas Jackson is a Chilean visual artist and educator. He holds a Master’s degree in Arts from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and a degree in Engineering from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez. His work has been exhibited in Valparaíso, Santa Cruz, and Santiago. He teaches at Cámara Lúcida Photography School, Instituto Arcos, and the Creative Campus of Universidad Andrés Bello. In 2014, he led the interdisciplinary project UNCO, bringing contemporary art to a rural community. In 2015, he was an artist-in-residence at Galería Nekoe and Cancha Santiago, where he published his first artist's book supported by FONDART. That same year, he was selected by CNCA for a contemporary photography show and workshop with Alfredo Jaar. In 2024, he opened his solo show Cuidar las matas at Balmaceda Arte Joven in Valparaíso.
