Margarita Bali

Margarita Bali is a choreographer, dancer, video artist, and pioneer in the intersection of dance and technology. A Biology graduate from the University of California, Berkeley, she is co-director of Nucleodanza, a company with over 25 years of international trajectory. Her work spans interactive installations, videomapping, and multimedia performance. Bali has received numerous awards, including the Guggenheim Fellowship (1998), Antorchas Grant (2001), Alexander Onassis Award (Athens, 2000), Faena Prize for Art and Technology (2006), among others. Her recent works include Pizzurno Pixelado, Ojo al Zoom (interactive), Galaxias, El Acuario Electrónico, Vuelo Rasante, and Tritones y Nereidas. Bali’s artistic language combines movement, the body, and digital image into an innovative stage vocabulary.
