Chaong-Wen Ting

Ting Chang-Wen (b. 1979, Kaohsiung, Taiwan) is a visual artist based in Tainan whose mixed media installations explore material culture, historical conflicts, and collective memory. By combining readymades with precisely constructed exhibition environments, Ting constructs new historical narratives that reflect personal experiences and shared pasts. He deconstructs and recontextualizes images and objects to investigate cross-border existence and memory politics. His work has been featured at Künstlerhaus Bethanien (Berlin, 2021), the 2019 Asian Art Biennial (Taiwan), Taipei Biennial 2016, and in exhibitions in Japan and Australia.
