Santiago Roose
Santiago Roose (Lima, Peru) is a photographer and visual artist. He studied Communication Sciences at the University of Lima and later attended film and design courses at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (Brazil) on a scholarship. He completed his professional photography training at the Antonio Gaudí Institute (1998). Roose has held solo and group exhibitions in Peru, Spain, and beyond, including the VI Visual Arts Contest of Fundación Telefónica and the French Embassy’s Pasaporte para un Artista, where he was a finalist. He developed urban interventions in collaboration with Philippe Gruenberg and Giuseppe De Bernardi. In 2002, he won the Fundación Telefónica Visual Arts Award. His work is part of public and private collections, including Fundación Telefónica, INJUVE (Madrid), and the Gaviria Collection (Bogotá). Since 2002, he has lived and worked in Madrid.
