Jorge Yeregui
Jorge Yeregui is a visual artist, architect, and professor at the School of Architecture of Málaga. His artistic practice explores landscape construction and territorial transformation in contemporary contexts. He examines the relationship between architecture and the environment, as well as the impact of economic markets on urban growth. His recent projects take the form of complex visual essays combining photography, text, video, and installation.
He has received awards and grants from the Fundación Botín, the Ministerio de Educación Cultura y Deporte, the Pilar Citoler International Contemporary Photography Prize, and the Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo, among others.
Selected solo exhibitions include Acta de replanteo (2016), Inventario (2015), The Circles of Life (2013), New Botanics (2011), and On The Natural Contract (2010). He has participated in international festivals such as PHotoEspaña, Festival Internazionale di Roma, Pingyao Photography Festival, and Fotofestiwal, as well as the Ibero-American Architecture and Urbanism Biennial in Medellín.
His work is included in major public and private collections, including Spain’s Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Fundación Botín, and the Fundación Coca-Cola.
