Estefanía Landesmann
Estefanía Landesmann (Buenos Aires, Argentina) is a contemporary Argentine visual artist working between Buenos Aires and New York. Her practice operates at the intersection of photography, sculpture, and installation, focusing on the material condition of the image and the relationship between surface, volume, and space. By challenging the two-dimensional nature of photography, she creates works that integrate montage, displacement, and object-based construction. Her research expands photography into sculptural and spatial experience.
She holds an MFA in Visual Arts from Bard College (2023–2025). She completed the Artists Program at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (2014) and studied Photography and Contemporary Art at UdK Universität der Künste Berlin (2018), supported by Argentina’s National Arts Fund. She earned a degree in Fashion Design from Universidad de Buenos Aires.
She participated in the Q21 residency program at MuseumsQuartier Wien (2022), as well as residencies in Lisbon and Dresden. In 2025 she received the Fundación Klemm Visual Arts Prize. Her work has been exhibited at the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Fundación PROA, MACBA Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Buenos Aires, Instituto Tomie Ohtake, and Fotogalerie Wien, among other institutions and international art fairs.
