AIseeds Project is a transdisciplinary collective of artist-researchers founded in 2021 at UNTREF, composed of Mario Guzmán, Guadalupe Chávez, Ángel Salazar, Erika Torres, and Gabriela Munguía, with members from Argentina, Mexico, Ecuador, and Colombia. The group investigates the relationship between artificial intelligence and plant life, exploring co-creation and co-evolution as a path toward non-anthropocentric ethics and terrestrial spiritualities. Their practice engages with natural technologies and algorithmic tools to imagine alternative modes of sensing and inhabiting the environment. In 2021, they were awarded the Proyecto Ballena Artistic Research Grant.
