Diamela Burboa
Diamela Burboa (Buin, Chile, 1999) is a visual artist and interdisciplinary designer. Her creative practice explores the intersection of body, gender, and everyday sensitivity through artistic research and processes of collective care and poetic inquiry.
She is co-creator and workshop facilitator in the projects Little Piece of Truth and Build a Body that Moves You, which propose prosthetic-transvestite methodologies for exploring and understanding the body in affective and critical ways. Her work is rooted in relational art, queer pedagogy, and micro-body memory.
In 2024, she presents her first solo exhibition, Princess Rabbit: making the body a pact with imagination, a tender and transformative project that explores transvestite childhoods through fiction, materiality, and emotional resonance. Her work opens sensitive spaces for listening, creation, and bodily imagination.
