Born in Buenos Aires and raised in Spain, he engaged in republican movements and co-founded the magazine Claridad in 1933. Returning to Argentina due to the Spanish Civil War, he worked as a satirical illustrator and painter, exhibiting in galleries and museums across Argentina, Brazil, the U.S., and Europe.
