Pamela Iglesias

Pamela Iglesias (Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1977) is an Argentine-Chilean visual artist who lives and works in the Biobío Region of Chile. She holds a degree in Art from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Her artistic practice is grounded in autobiographical reflection, connecting personal experiences with broader social and political issues. Her work addresses themes such as gender, feminism, migration, territory, and environment, developing a visual language that combines photography, video, textiles, installation, and performance. Drawing on imaginaries related to domestic spaces and affective environments, Iglesias examines patriarchal structures embedded in everyday life while proposing critical reflections on social inequalities and the lived experiences of women in Latin American contexts. Her work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions in Chile and internationally, in museums, cultural centers, and contemporary art festivals. Through multiple media and narrative strategies, her practice reflects on memory, identity, and territory, linking personal experiences with broader historical and social processes.
