Roberto Huarcaya

Roberto Huarcaya (Peru, 1967) is a photographer, educator, and curator. Founder of Lima’s Centro de la Imagen, he has exhibited individually and collectively across the Americas, Europe, and Asia, including Havana Biennial, Venice Biennale, ARCO Madrid, Paris Photo, and Art Basel Miami. He has won awards such as Concurso Imagen del Perú (1991) and Petrobras Buenos Aires (2010). His work is in collections including Maison Européenne de la Photographie, Fine Arts Museum of Houston, MUAC-UNAM, and MALI. Huarcaya has lectured and taught at PhotoEspaña, Latin American Photography Forum, and École Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie d’Arles.
