Omar Puebla
Omar Puebla (Quito, 1977) is an Ecuadorian sculptor, educator, and researcher. He completed an artist residency at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (2003) and earned a Master’s in Art Studies at the Central University of Ecuador (2016). As a professor, he has influenced new generations. Founder of the multidisciplinary collective “El Depósito,” he actively participates in urban projects in Quito, including Detonarte, Mugre Sur, and the “al zur-ich” Urban Art Festival. His work “Arte en el Trole” reimagines public spaces. His art has been featured in prominent Ecuadorian media like El Telégrafo and El Comercio.
