Darwin Guerrero

Darwin Guerrero (Cuenca, Ecuador, 1986) is an Ecuadorian visual artist who studied Visual Arts at the University of Cuenca. His practice operates within the field of contemporary art, exploring installation, video, new media and experimental practices that address perception, irony and contemporary cultural dynamics. Through exhibitions and collaborative projects, his work investigates the relationships between technology, image and sensory experience, creating artistic proposals that engage with diverse social and cultural contexts. He has participated in exhibitions and biennials across the Americas and Europe, including the NYLAAT New York Latin American Art Triennial at the Newhouse Center for Contemporary Art (New York, 2025), the 17th Cuenca Biennial The Game – En el asombro del artificio (2025), the SACO 1.2 Biennial Dark Ecosystems in Antofagasta, Chile (2025), and BIENALSUR La Mala Política (Cuenca, 2025). He also participated in the International New Media Art Biennial VIDEOAKT4 (Lima, 2024) and the Cuenca Biennial Quizá Mañana (2023). His work has been exhibited in institutions and art spaces in Ecuador, Mexico, the United States, Canada, Peru, Chile and Spain, establishing an international trajectory focused on artistic experimentation and contemporary media practices.
