Martín Bollati
Martín Bollati (Buenos Aires, 1986) is a visual artist, editor, and teacher. Founder and director of SED Editorial and 0/0, he coordinates the workshops Editorial Gesture and Playing Against the Machine. His work investigates the relationship between photography and fiction, focusing on the discursive potential found in the margins of the photographic apparatus. He has published books such as A Kind of Loop (Riot Books), La forma bruta (University of Cádiz), Vacant Dream State (280a), and Para describir una flor (Raya Editorial). His solo shows include the Beijing Photography Biennial, Centro Cultural Kirchner (Buenos Aires), Galería Cero (Madrid), and Galería Hydra (Mexico City). He received the XI Roberto Villagraz Grant (2014), won the Latin American Photobook Award (2017), the Art Trail Tesla Prize at Unseen Amsterdam (2018), and was featured in British Journal of Photography’s Ones to Watch (2018).
