Fernando Allievi

Fernando Allievi (born 1954, Esquel, Patagonia) is a distinguished Argentine visual artist focused on painting and drawing. He studied at the José Figueroa Alcorta Provincial School of Fine Arts in Córdoba, earning degrees in Fine Arts and Painting & Drawing. From 1985 to 1988, he lived in New York, following advice from fellow artist Marcelo Bonevardi—an experience that deeply influenced his career. Since his first solo exhibition in 1980, Allievi has shown his work extensively both in Argentina and abroad. His work is part of major public and private collections, and he has received numerous national and provincial awards, including the 2022 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Fondo Nacional de las Artes. Beyond his artistic production, Allievi has served as a juror, curator, and coordinator in key cultural events. Since 2008, he co-leads the Contemporary Art Clinics in Córdoba with Gabriel Valansi and architect José Luis Lorenzo.
