Indira Montoya
Indira Montoya (Córdoba, Argentina) is a visual and performance artist whose work focuses on the intersection of the body, poetic language, and action. She is co-director of hipermedula.org, a leading Ibero-American cultural communication platform, and her practice combines art-making, curatorial work, and cultural management. She trained with key figures such as Soledad Sánchez Goldar, Guillermo Gómez Peña, Gabriela Halac, Lucas Di Pascuale, and Aníbal Buede.
Her recent solo exhibitions include Nadie Canta (Fundación Andreani, 2024, curated by Laura Buccellato), El monte impronunciable (Museo de las Mujeres, Córdoba, 2023), and Mi patria de espinas (Museo Genaro Pérez, 2016). She was awarded the First Prize by Fundación Andreani (Art, Science and Technology, 2023), First Prize CCEBA Media Lab (2024), and received the Presente Continuo Fellowship (Fundación Williams & Bunge y Born, 2024).
She is a member of the research-creation project “Performative Writings: Body and Action in Ephemeral Dramas” and has curated major exhibitions such as Recomienzo Continuo and Lo visible y lo invisible (Palais de Glace traveling show). In 2019, she received the National Fund for the Arts Creation Grant.
