Roberto Acosta

Roberto Acosta (Viña del Mar, 1978) is a visual artist and printmaker. Trained at the School of Fine Arts in Viña del Mar and with a degree in Arts from Universidad Finis Terrae, he has been based in Valparaíso since 2003. His award-winning work has been exhibited in Chile and abroad, focusing mainly on woodcut printmaking. He currently explores new expressive possibilities by combining woodcut with photography and digital imagery. Since 2007, he has taught printmaking and now directs the Casaplan Printmaking Workshop, promoting both classical and contemporary print practices. His work is part of the Universidad de Playa Ancha art collection.
