Diego Sarmiento

Diego Sarmiento is an artist, bricklayer, and cultural manager from La Rioja, Argentina. He studied Visual Arts at the National University of La Rioja and holds a Technical Degree in Administration. In 2018, he received a scholarship to research public art in Tacna, Peru, where he gave talks, exhibited work, and published an artist's book. He has shown his work in La Rioja, Catamarca, San Juan, Cosquín, and Córdoba. His awards include First Prize at the Regional Painting Salon (La Rioja, 2019), Second Prize at the UBG Drawing and Painting Competition (Peru, 2018), and an Honorable Mention at the Regional Visual Arts Salon (La Rioja, 2022).
