Jorge Pomar
Jorge Pomar was born in Buenos Aires in 1987. He is a self-taught visual artist who began his career through graffiti and rave culture in the early 2000s. His practice includes large-format painting, public installations, ceramics, textiles, and print publications. His work has been shown in over twenty countries, with projects in Argentina, France, Italy, and Russia. He took part in CIA’s Artists Program and worked with mentors like Diana Aisenberg and Javier Villa. He received an honorable mention in photography at the 105th Salón Nacional. In 2015, he produced the film Trece cifras (MACBA/MAR). Pomar is cofounder of Bucle publishing house and the collectives CCC, La Baranda, and VVCE DJs Agency. Since 2012, he has directed Casa Omar in Buenos Aires.
