Amalia Foka
Amalia Foka is a Greek AI researcher, interdisciplinary artist, and educator exploring the intersection of computer science and art. Her experimental work uses data and AI techniques to push creative boundaries. She has exhibited at Leonardo Journal (MIT Press), WRO Biennale, ISEA, and CVPR AI Art Gallery. She received the Arte Laguna Special Prize for a residency at BigCi (Australia). Currently, she is Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the School of Fine Arts, University of Ioannina, teaching creative coding, interactive systems, and generative AI art. She holds a BEng in Computer Systems, an MSc from UMIST (1999), and a PhD in Robotics (2005, University of Crete).
