Tulio de Sagastizábal
Tulio de Sagastizábal was born in 1948 in Posadas, Misiones, and is a renowned Argentine painter based in Buenos Aires. He studied under artists such as Luis Felipe Noé and Roberto Páez, and was awarded a fellowship by Fundación Antorchas. He participated in residencies and programs including Arteleku (Spain), TRAMA, and RAIN (Indonesia), and has worked extensively as a teacher and curator throughout Argentina and abroad. His abstract work has been exhibited in museums and art fairs across Argentina, the U.S., Europe, and Latin America. He has received awards such as the Konex Prize (2012), the BCRA National Painting Prize (2012), and the Salón Nacional Prize (2017). His works are held in public collections including the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, MACBA, Museo Sívori, and Castagnino+Macro.
