Gustavo Nieto

Gustavo Nieto (Tucumán, 1980) is a visual artist and cultural organizer. He studied at the National University of Tucumán and trained with artists like Eduardo Basualdo, Jorge Macchi, and Eduardo Stupía. He has held solo exhibitions at Pasto Galería, Gabelich Contemporáneo, and the Timoteo Navarro Museum. Highlights include “El diálogo” (2021), “Abalorios” (2016), and “21st Century Boy” (2011). Since 2009, he has co-founded and led initiatives such as RUSIA/galería, COO and Espacio Cripta, reshaping the contemporary art scene in northern Argentina. He is currently president of FACT (Foundation for Contemporary Art of Tucumán), fostering new modes of artistic production and thought across the region.
