Sergio Guillermo Díaz

Sergio Guillermo Díaz was born in General Güemes, Salta. He studied Visual Arts and Graphic Design at the Escuela de Bellas Artes Tomás Cabrera. His figurative work explores ecological and social themes, using absurdity and ambiguity to shape his narratives. Since 2017, he has delved into money art, merging pop culture icons with currency as an artistic medium, gaining national and international visibility. His work has received awards such as First Prize at the Salón Provincial de Salta (2016) and the Salón Regional NOA in Santiago del Estero (2015). He has exhibited at MAC Salta, Galería Mamoré, Proyecto V.A.C.A., and in Cash is King 2 at Saatchi Gallery, London.
