Sofía Bohtlingk
Sofía Bohtlingk (b. 1976, Buenos Aires) is an Argentine artist whose abstract paintings emerge from bodily movement and performance. Her work emphasizes gesture, time, and surface, often revealing folds and marks from physical interaction with the canvas. She was a Kuitca/UTDT fellow and part of the UTDT Artists Program. Exhibitions include Nora Fisch, MACRO, Appetite, and the Museum of Modern Art of Buenos Aires. Awards: Third Prize, Fundación Amalita (2019). She co-created Asamblea de pájaros (2021) and has shown at Arteba, Proa 21, ARCO Madrid, and Fundación Klemm. Her work is in public and private collections.
