Raquel Friera
Raquel Friera (Tarragona, 1978) is a visual artist. With degrees in Economics and Fine Arts, her work explores the intersections of economy, gender, labor, and subjectivity through a critical and interdisciplinary lens. Engaging with historical reinterpretations, she questions dominant systems of power and production. Her projects have been shown at CentroCentro (Madrid), MUSAC (León), Casal Solleric (Palma), Fundació Antoni Tàpies and La Virreina (Barcelona), MUAC (Mexico City), and the Reina Sofía Museum (Madrid). Together with Javier Bassas, she co-founded the Instituto del Tiempo Suspendido, a project that challenges conventional notions of productive time.
