Javier Bassas
Javier Bassas is a philosopher, translator, editor, and lecturer. He holds PhDs in French Philology and Philosophy from the Sorbonne–Paris IV and the University of Barcelona, where he currently teaches. His research focuses on language, politics, and aesthetics. He specializes in the work of Jean-Luc Marion, Jacques Derrida, and Jacques Rancière, whose writings he has translated and studied extensively. He co-directed the essay collection at Ellago Ediciones and now leads the Pensamiento Atiempo series at Casus Belli Ediciones. He also co-directed the Barcelona Philosophy Days for eight editions. His life is devoted to family care and philosophizing with a critical and contemporary perspective.
