Aimée Zito Lema

Aimée Zito Lema (b. 1982, Amsterdam) is a visual artist whose work investigates social memory and the body as a site of resistance. She studied in Buenos Aires and Amsterdam, earning a Master’s in Artistic Research from the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague. Her practice spans installation, performance, film, and archival material. Zito Lema has exhibited at Eye Filmmuseum, MACBA, Centre Pompidou, Gwangju Biennial, and Kunsthall Trondheim, among others. She was a resident at the Rijksakademie (2015–16), and her work is supported by the Mondriaan Fonds and Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds. She lives and works in Amsterdam and is represented by tegenboschvanvreden.
