Tansy Xiao

Tansy Xiao is a New York–based artist, curator, and writer working at the intersection of technology, performance, and language. Her interdisciplinary installations feature human, machine, and non-human collaborations, constructing non-linear narratives through sound, objects, and systems. Xiao’s work probes the limits of language and the absurdities of authority and geopolitical borders. She has exhibited at Queens Museum, Piksel Festival, Hirshhorn Museum’s Sound Scene, IRCAM Forum, and Taipei Digital Arts Festival, among others. Her projects have been supported by NYSCA, Wave Farm, Brooklyn Arts Council, Foundation for Contemporary Arts, and Harvestworks.
