Arwa Alneami
Arwa Al Neami (b. 1985, Khamis Mushait, Saudi Arabia) is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice challenges social and religious boundaries. Raised on the King Khalid Military Airbase, she trained at Al-Meftaha Arts Village and won the Southern Region Arts Award in 2005. Her breakthrough series A Piece of Paradise marked her as the first woman ever allowed to photograph inside the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina. After moving to Jeddah, she stirred the art scene with works like Live Demo during Jeddah Art Week (2017). For over five years, she has been developing Never Never Land, a landmark project documenting Saudi Arabia’s transformation, inspiring global exhibitions and critical reflection on her country’s evolving identity.
