Carlos René Aguilera Tamayo
Carlos René Aguilera Tamayo (1965) is a Cuban painter known for blending magical realism, supra-reality, and paradox. A graduate of ISA, he has developed a distinctive visual language featuring human and animal figures in surreal landscapes, notably his signature polar bears in tropical settings. His work, defined by technical experimentation and strong chromatic contrasts, has been exhibited in over 100 international shows and is included in collections such as the Wifredo Lam Center and the National Arts Club in New York.
