Ahmad Ghossein is a Lebanese filmmaker and visual artist whose work explores memory, history, and identity in the Middle Eastern context. He studied Theater at the Lebanese University and Visual Art at the National Academy of Art in Oslo. His short film Operation Nb (2004) won Best Director at the Beirut International Film Festival, launching his international career.
His work has been showcased at the Berlinale and MoMA in New York, with My Father is Still a Communist: Intimate Secrets to be Published (2011) standing out as a key piece. His first feature film, All This Victory (2019), won the Grand Prize and the Audience Award at the Venice International Film Critics’ Week, further establishing his reputation.
With a filmography spanning cinema, installation, and video art, he has created works such as VG Panel (2012), The Fourth Stage (2015), and The White Noise (2017). His artistic approach focuses on historical narratives, collective memory, and the representation of conflict in contemporary cinema.
