Amine El Gotaibi, a graduate of the National Institute of Fine Arts in Tetouan, is a leading figure in Morocco’s contemporary art scene. His multidisciplinary projects blend traditional mediums with technology and engineering, showcasing works like Sun(W)hole_piece de la cuna 1 (2020), a monumental adobe wall created in South Africa, and Ba moyi ya afrika (2019), featured at the Biennial of Young Congo.
Since 2016, El Gotaibi has explored territorial concepts with projects like Attorab Al Watani, presented at COP22 in Marrakech. His exhibitions address themes such as submission and geopolitics, including immersive works like La prédation ne croit pas à la mort! (2012), shown at the Mohammed VI Museum, and Arena of Submission (2014), exhibited at Le Maroc contemporain.
