Manal Al Dowayan

Manal Al Dowayan (1973, Dhahran) is a Saudi artist known for her work exploring gender customs and social transformations in Saudi Arabia. Her practice, encompassing photography, sound, neon, and sculpture, has been exhibited internationally in museums such as the Victoria and Albert Museum and Centre Pompidou. Al Dowayan is recognized for her participatory installations, such as Suspended Together and Esmi-My Name, which give voice to women in the Kingdom to address social injustices.
