Edelmiro Lescano Ceballos (1900-1983) was a renowned Argentine painter and educator with an international career. Trained at the Provincial Academy of Fine Arts in Córdoba, he received a scholarship to study in Europe with masters such as André Lothe and connect with artists like Spilimbergo and Forner.
His work focused on portraiture and the human figure, later incorporating landscapes after his time in Italy. He exhibited in major national and international salons, winning awards such as the Gold Medal at the National Salon of Fine Arts (1934) and the Grand Silver Medal from the Donatello Group in Florence (1961).
Lescano Ceballos taught in Córdoba and served as president of the Association of Painters and Sculptors (APE). In 1956, he was appointed Argentine Consul in Bordeaux, and in 1959, he settled in Germany, where he continued his artistic practice.
