José Broide
José Broide (1956, Buenos Aires, Argentina) is a photographer who began his career in the years leading up to the military dictatorship (1976), studying with Andy Goldstein. Throughout his career, photography has been his primary tool of expression. Since 2022, he has attended Eduardo Gil’s workshop. He has held exhibitions such as Los Nadies at Centro Cultural El Árbol (2019) and UMET (2019), showcasing the photographic record of Juan Domingo Perón’s funeral. He also published Rostros Paceños (2014), a series of photos taken in La Paz, Bolivia, during the Chaya festival organized by Evo Morales in 2012. Additionally, he participated in the multimedia project Narrativas contadas, narrativas vividas (2005), an interactive video-documentary installation that explores identity through the stories of immigrants.
