Tina Willgren
Tina Willgren is a Swedish visual artist working with moving image, video art and contemporary media. She earned an MA from the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm (2005) and later graduated from the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts in 2012. Her work explores experimental visual languages and has been featured in numerous international exhibitions.
Recent presentations include: “Directors Lounge” at the Contemporary Art Ruhr Media Art Fair, Germany (selected by Delete TV); “Frame & Frequency 3” at VisArts in Rockville, MD, USA; and “CYFEST10” in Moscow, Russia. Past shows include “Streetlight” at Roman Susan Art Space, Chicago; the Krasnoyarsk International Screen and Media Arts Festival, Russia (CYFEST10); and the International Festival MEM in Bilbao, Spain.
Willgren has participated in several artist residencies, notably at Haihatus Art Center in Joutsa, Finland (2016), and Arteles Creative Center in Haukijärvi, Finland (2015, Enter Text program).
