Ce Vignolo
Cecilia Vignolo (Montevideo, 1971) is a Uruguayan visual artist, communicator, and educator active since 1991. Her multidisciplinary practice spans installation, performance, ceramics, sculpture, video, and graphic work, focusing on material experimentation and conceptual inquiry. Vignolo’s work examines the intersections of body, memory, language, and space, generating hybrid artistic forms that challenge traditional boundaries in contemporary art.
She studied Communication Sciences at the Universidad de la República and has taught workshops at North Park University, Universidad ORT Uruguay, and in Saint-Étienne, France. She currently works in the Communications Department of the Museo Nacional de Artes Visuales.
Her major solo exhibitions include El reverso del paisaje, Hay algo más que quiera decir, and Respaldos. She has received awards such as the Second Prize at the Premio Paul Cézanne and the First Eduardo Víctor Haedo Prize at the National Visual Arts Award.
