Born in Montevideo in 1976, this distinguished artist and architect brings a multidisciplinary approach to her work. She holds degrees in conceptual arts from the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and in architecture from the University of the Republic of Uruguay. With a specialization in Bioconstruction from the University of Córdoba, Argentina, she has further honed her skills through studies in mixed media with Bruce Dorfman at The Art Students League of New York and three-dimensional construction at TU-Delft, the Netherlands.
Her work bridges the disciplines of visual art and architecture, delving into the interplay between matter, memory, space, and time. She has been involved in numerous interdisciplinary projects, participating in exhibitions and collaborations both nationally and internationally. Notable venues include the Zorrilla Museum, the Cultural Center of Spain, and the Museum of Decorative Arts at Palacio Taranco in Montevideo, Uruguay; the Rómulo Raggio Foundation Museum in Vicente López, Argentina; the Bronx Museum of the Arts in New York; the Silvermine Art Center; the New Canaan Arts Center in Connecticut; and the Greenwich Arts Council in Connecticut.
In addition to her artistic practice, she has made significant contributions to education, developing programs for public and private institutions. She is currently a faculty member at her own studio and at the YMCA School of Art in New York. Her achievements have been recognized with a nomination by The Art Students League of New York. Now based in Uruguay, she continues to work internationally, fostering connections between disciplines and cultures.
