Jesús Ortiz

Jesús Ortiz (San Juan, Argentina) is a visual artist currently completing his BA in Visual Arts at the Universidad Nacional de San Juan. His practice spans installation, sculpture, and collaborative projects, often engaging with environmental and cultural contexts. In 2017 he won the Banco San Juan Grant with Inclinaciones at the Franklin Rawson Museum. His work Bitácora en botella, created with Amanda Yantorno, was awarded in Anchipurac es Cultura and remains on permanent display. Ortiz participated in the Rosario MicroFeria de Arte (2021) and developed the project In situ during the Fluslabb Residency in Tigre Delta (2022). He received the 1st Franklin Rawson Acquisition Prize (2021–2022) with Del no Dueño.
