Mireille Kassar

Mireille Kassar (b. 1963) is a Lebanese artist based in Paris and Beirut, working across painting, drawing, film, writing, music, and installation. Her practice explores exile, memory, ritual, and cultural identity through a multidisciplinary approach. A graduate of the École des Beaux-Arts and the Sorbonne, she is Art Director at the Amar Foundation and teaches at the École Spéciale d’Architecture in Paris. Kassar’s work has been shown at the British Museum, Centre Pompidou, Berlinale, Art Dubai, and BienalSur. Her art, deeply rooted in her Lebanese heritage, weaves mythology, history, and displacement into poetic visual narratives. She is represented by Agial Art Gallery (Beirut).
