Saad Al Howede
Saad Al-Howede (b. 1975, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia) is a multidisciplinary artist with a PhD in Art Philosophy. He began his career as a caricaturist in local newspapers (1990–2013) and held his first group exhibition at age 16. Currently based between Riyadh and Avignon, he is a laureate of the Alma Mater international residency (France). His practice centers on memory, heritage, and the archive, often through immersive installations. Al-Howede’s work explores revisionist and post-memory, collective oblivion, and the role of personal and historical traces. His art invites reflection on the fragility and construction of memory.
