Nora Iniesta
Nora Iniesta was born, lives, and works in Buenos Aires. In 1980, she won the Georges Braque prize and moved to Paris, France, where she lived until 1983. She has represented Argentina in numerous exhibitions and biennials in countries such as Cuba, Brazil, South Korea, Venezuela, Bolivia, Italy, Morocco, Ukraine, the Dominican Republic, Peru, Mexico, Poland, and Bangladesh.
In 2021-2022, she presented her exhibition Abanderada, a tribute to Manuel Belgrano, at the Museum of the Bicentennial at the Casa de Gobierno, becoming the first contemporary artist to exhibit there. She has been honored with the Diploma al Mérito by the Konex Foundation (1992) and the Diploma of Honor for her cultural contribution by the Senate of the Nation (2004). She was named Illustrious Citizen by the Buenos Aires City Legislature (2013) and Distinguished Personality of the Province of Buenos Aires (2020).
