Anton Steenbock

Anton Steenbock is a visual artist exploring capitalism’s impact on urban and natural environments. Holding a Master of Fine Arts from the Berlin University of the Arts (UDK), his work includes installations and public interventions addressing corporate appropriation and social transformation. His exhibitions have been showcased at the MAC Museum of Contemporary Art in Rio de Janeiro, Centro Cultural São Paulo (CCSP), Biennale SUR in Argentina, and Frestas Triennale in Sorocaba. He has also exhibited at Akademie der Künste Berlin, the Museum of Fine Arts in Leipzig, and Kunst Werke KW Berlin. In 2021, he received the Berlin Senate Research Stipend and a VG Bild Production Stipend. He was nominated for the Pipa Prize and has developed projects with Capacete and Despina.
