David Barreiro is a screenwriter, writer, and playwright born in Gijón in 1977. He has worked on fiction and non-fiction projects across different formats and platforms. As a novelist, his works include Relatos posindustriales, Perros de Presa (Complutense Foundation Novel Award 2012), and El túnel (Finalist for the Herralde Prize 2014).
In theater, he has won multiple awards, including the National Theatre Award Ciudad de Castellón and the City of Requena Theatre Award. His plays have been featured in international programs such as Cimientos 2019 at IATI Theatre (New York).
