Daniel Andújar

Daniel García Andújar is a Spanish visual artist and activist born in 1966 in Almoradí. A pioneer of net art in Spain, his work explores the intersection of art, technology, and politics, challenging power structures in the digital era. He founded Technologies To The People and created platforms like e-valencia and e-barcelona, fostering debate on cultural policies. He has participated in documenta and exhibited at the 53rd Venice Biennale, the Total Museum of Contemporary Art in Seoul, and the DOX Center in Prague. His Archivo Postcapital (2006) critically examines globalization’s impact on contemporary society. In 2015, the Museo Reina Sofía presented Sistema Operativo, a retrospective of his work. His project Los Desastres de la Guerra. Caballo de Troya was showcased at dOCUMENTA14 (2017) in Athens and Kassel. His work is part of major international collections, as he continues to explore digital activism and the role of art in shaping society.
