Damien Deroubaix (b. 1972, France) is an artist exploring the macabre in his "trash" watercolors, merging art, popular culture, and heavy metal. His work, exhibited at Kunstmuseum St. Gallen, Fondation Maeght, and MoMA, is held in collections such as Centre Pompidou and Museu Colecção Berardo.
In 2009, he was nominated for the Marcel Duchamp Prize. He studied at École des Beaux-Arts de Saint-Étienne and Akademie der Bildenden Künste Karlsruhe.
