Wilfried Mbida

Wilfried Mbida (b. 1990, Cameroon) is a visual artist recognized for his focus on depicting home interiors and the stillness within them. Holding a Master’s degree in Art History and Fine Art from l’Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Nkongsamba, Mbida’s figurative works often use acrylics and pastels on canvas or paper to explore the intimate nature of spaces. His art invites viewers to immerse themselves in the tension or vulnerability of filled environments. Mbida’s work highlights personal stories of victory, defeat, exploration, and sedentarization.
