Abraham Poincheval

Abraham Poincheval (1972, Alençon) is a French artist and performer known for his extreme explorations and inhabitable sculptures. From crossing the Alps with a capsule to sealing himself inside a rock, his work pushes the boundaries of the body and time. In 2017, the Palais de Tokyo dedicated a solo exhibition to him, featuring Stone and Egg, performances exploring the relationship between humans, nature, and time. He has exhibited at the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature, IAC Villeurbanne, MAC VAL, and FRAC Paca. His works are held in major collections, including the Fondation Louis Vuitton and CNAP.
