Ibon Aranberri

Ibon Aranberri (Basque Country, Spain, 1969) is a visual artist whose practice brings together sculpture, video, photography, and publishing in investigations into landscape, ideology, and the ways in which territory is culturally constructed. His work examines the relationship between aesthetic forms and political structures, with particular attention to Basque history and its representations. He has exhibited at the MACBA, the Museo Reina Sofía, the Kunsthalle Basel, the Van Abbemuseum, and the São Paulo Biennial. He is co-founder of the production and publishing space Bulegoa z/b in Bilbao, a platform for critical thought connected to the performing and visual arts. His practice includes an editorial and collaborative dimension that integrates theoretical work with artistic production.
